When Will Harrisonburg Collect Your Leaves?

The friendly city would like to take those beautiful leaves off of your hands.  All you have to do is rake them up, jump in the pile a few times, and follow these few guidelines from the city: 

• Citizens are asked to rake their leaves out to the curb or the edge of the roadway. 
• Leaves will not be picked up if there is excessive grass, limbs, branches, trash, etc. mixed with leaves.  No exceptions. 
• Leaves need to be raked to the back of the curb, not to extend more than five feet into your yard. 
• Please do not rake leaves into the street. 
• Please do not park vehicles around leaves.

Your street will be swept once a week.  So, make sure you get your leaves out during the following designated weeks.

West Side of Main St. & Forest Hills   
October 30-November 3
November 13-17
November 27-December 1

East Side of Main St. & Fairway Drive
November 6-9 (excluding holiday)
November 20-22 (excluding holidays)
December 4-8
